1. Celebrity - *NSYNC (Jive): Count this as the blockbuster album of the summer of 2001. The latest release from arguably the biggest boy band in the world didn't quite surpass the first-week sales of "No Strings Attached," but nevertheless sold a respectable 70,000 copies (see above). "Celebrity" doesn't offer anything new and plays it safe by continuing with the group's tradition of churning out generic boy band pop. But that's expected since their two previous albums were huge hits with their pre-teen/teen audience. Why rock the boat when things are going well? Key tracks include the ballad "Selfish" and the techno-styled "The Game Is Over," likely a future single.
